Abstract: Corporate Social Responsibility, or CSR, usually refers to a company’s commitment to practice environmental and social sustainability and to be good protectors of the environment and the social landscapes in which they operate. Approaches to sustainability and CSR vary according to industry and how an individual organization defines and embraces ideas. Some companies and economists reject the idea of CSR because it implies an obligation to society and future generations beyond those contained in the binding legal requirements of business. However, most companies now embrace some roots of CSR. Some companies invest in CSR as reputation management or to sustain the profitability of a company, and some invest in CSR out of a sense of moral obligation to society. The importance of technologies in advancing modern organizations corporate social responsibility (CSR). Drawing upon environmentalist and technological theories, we analysed the shift from the traditional development of technology to the development of sustainable technologies for the further sustainable advancement of organizations. Technology has decisively influenced the development of humankind, but its research has traditionally excluded sustainable development issues. Newer technological visions have addressed the incorporation of technologies in all industries more comprehensively to solve social issues related to environmental protection and sustainable economic development. Environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) have become essential components of business operations, in the context of Indian companies. Businesses are under increasing pressure to incorporate sustainable practises into their operations due to growing environmental concerns and increased awareness of social issues. This article examines the objectives, opportunities, and problems of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable technologies in Indian businesses.
