Long have I debated within myself about what true love is all about. What I have come to understand is that love and respect are two sides of the same coin. Even though we can look at only one side at any given time, we can be assured about the presence of the other. Love and respect can only exist when they are together and while apart, they have no more meaning than the relationship of a man and woman who are married and yet apart all the time. Where there is love, there is respect and when you find respect, you find love too. So, what is true love? True love is said to be in a relationship if love and respect exist in that relationship like a wife and husband.
PS Love and respect can be shown in several ways and is unique to every relationship be it that of friends or a marriage or a parent-child relation.
