It takes pain,
It takes emotion,
It takes sensitivity,
It takes inspiration –
To be an artist.
Whether as an actor, a poet, a painter, or a dancer,
To express art in its many forms is a beautifully painful act.
Art does not ask for permission.
It rises like a storm within,
demanding to be released –
Through teary eyes, bleeding words, trembling hands or aching muscles.
To create is to surrender,
To bleed silently on screen, paper, canvas, or stage.
It’s not just talent, it’s truth.
The raw, unfiltered fragments of the soul,
Transformed into motion, dialogue, colour, and rhythm.
Art hurts because it’s honest.
It forces us to confront what we bury beneath the surface.
But within that hurt is healing.
The moment a dancer loses herself in movement,
Or a writer finds clarity in chaos,
Or a painter turns pain into colour –
That’s when art becomes more than creation;
It becomes Salvation.
And every time I create – whether
it’s a dance, a sketch, a poem or a piece of craft – I feel deeply grounded.
In a world that often feels noisy and chaotic, art becomes my silence, my center.
It humbles me.
It reminds me that I am just a vessel through which emotion flows into form.
I feel grateful – truly grateful – for the gift of expression.
To feel something deeply and then let it spill into something beautiful…. It’s magic.
To make someone smile, or cry, or feel something through your creation is a privilege I never take for granted.
Art is rebellion.
Art is therapy.
Art is love dressed in metaphor.
And for those who truly live it –
Art is not a choice,
It’s a calling.
– From the heart of an Artist.
Note on the Featured Image:
This art piece deeply resonates with my reflection- capturing healing as a journey, with its spiral forms symbolizing emotion moving inward & outward, much like the process of creating art from pain. The transition from deep blues to brighter tones reflects a movement from inner darkness to hope, while the dynamic pastels feel like a raw release of energy- just as I described bleeding words and trembling hands in my blog. Whereas the swirling motion draws the eye to a luminous center, representing grounding amidst chaos. More than just an art piece, it feels like emotion itself has taken form – abstract, authentic and deeply in tune with what art truly means to me.
