Happy Father's Day I. The boy was scared and began to cry in the mid of the night, Searched for his constant companion, his mom Realised and began to ask for his mom without even opening his eyes The father, weaving the first tale, knew this moment would come "She is at the office, working hard to buy chocos for you. We must not call her, she has papers to sign, A ringing phone breaks the focus she needs to keep." The boy nods at the duty, his heavy eyes decline, While she lies six feet under, in an eternal, rotless sleep. II. The boy was scared and began to cry in the mid of the night, Searched for his constant companion, his mom When the thunder rolls and the windowpane shakes, The boy asks why she isn't there to hold the light. "She is traveling," the father says, "for our sake, Crossing great oceans to bring toys especially for you. We cannot write to her, the post is too slow, If we demand her return, she will lose her way." The boy dreams of maps and the places she might go, While she packs a bag for a lover she met yesterday. III. The boy was scared and began to cry in the mid of the night, Searched for his constant companion, his mom Asked, all other mothers take their kids for a walk why the maid alone is accompanied in your absence. "She is a secret agent," the father begins to talk, "Saving the world with a mask and a daring stare. We must never seek her out, it would blow her cover, Silence is the only way to keep her safe from the fee." The boy plays with toy soldiers, proud of his mother, While she constantly and unconsciously stares at none in the ICU. IV. The boy was scared and began to cry in the mid of the night, Searched for his constant companion, his mom When the fever comes and the boy is burning hot, He begs for the cool song she used to hum. "She is a doctor now," the father invents the plot, "Healing the sick in a kingdom where we cannot come. We must not visit, for the patients need her care, To ask for her now would be selfish and unkind." The boy closes his eyes, imagining her white coat there, While she savours the drug right through her pale veins V. The boy was scared and began to cry in the mid of the night, Searched for his constant companion, his mom It’s been years, I forgot her face now. The boy asks simply, "Does she remember me at all?" "She is building a castle," the father says with care, "Stone by stone, behind a massive, golden wall. We cannot knock, for the mortar has to dry, She is making it perfect, just for you and for me." The boy, though sceptical, saw the invisible castle beneath the open sky, While she hung the framed divorce papers as a symbol of individuality and freedom VI. The boy was scared and began to cry in the mid of the night, Searched for his constant companion, his mom Could not move and seeking help to go to washroom Asking why his mother was frustrated and not by his side "She is a guardian," the father says, "watching from the skies, Fighting off the evil to save us from the aliens. We must not wish her back, her battle is far and wide” The boy touches his paralyzed legs, believing the story he is fed, Saw her under a superhero mask and was proud of her, While the father wipes the floor where he struck her down before she killed this unwanted child while was sleeping peacefully
