We went on an educational visit to Sarojini Naidu School of Communication, University of Hyderabad 31 August 2016. Prof. Vinod Pavarala, the Dean of the school addressed the students with a brief history of the school and its evolution, the various courses offered there and also introduced them to the other faculty and technical staff members. Prof. Pavarala stressed on how important it is to spread the ethos of the school by facilitating a holistic space where “thinking-doers” and “doing-thinkers” can emerge. He encouraged the students to pursue higher studies and addressed their queries. Other faculty members, Prof. Kanchan K. Malik & Dr. Madhavi Ravi Kumar also interacted with the students and explained them about various specialized courses like News media and Convergent journalism, and also exposed them to placement records and internship opportunities.
The students also visited the Bol Hyderabad 90.4 FM campus Radio Station and interacted with the Station Co-ordinator and state-of-the-art Television Production Studio of S.N.School where Ramesh Kumar, the Studio In-charge explained them about the technical operations and equipment maintenance.
